JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) won the Taxpayer award thanks to the contribution and compliance with the submission of the Annual Tax Return (SPT) for the Agency's Income Tax (PPh) and SPT for the 2023 Tax Year period.

The award was given by the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Large Taxpayers (Kanwil LTO) at the 2024 Taxpayer Award event entitled 'fulfilling the Promise of the Founder of the Republic'.

"For BCA, paying taxes is not just an obligation, but also our contribution in encouraging national development," said BCA Director Santoso in his statement in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, July 15.

Santoso said the award was clear evidence of BCA's commitment to fulfilling tax obligations on time and transparently.

In addition, this appreciation reflects BCA's compliance with applicable tax regulations and its seriousness in contributing to state revenues.

"We hope that this award can continue to motivate us to continue to maintain integrity and commitment in fulfilling our obligations as one of the national banks," he said.

Previously, BCA had also won a Large Taxpayer in 2019. The award was given to BCA, as one of the institutions registered in the One Big Taxpayer Service Office (KPP). Santoso said this was proof of the contribution to tax regulations that pushed for the achievement of the target of receiving the High Taxpayer Taxpayer Regional Office in 2018.

"In the future, BCA will continue to maintain and improve performance in the field of taxation. Running tax pay obligations is proof of our support and concern for the country," he said.

It is known that tax revenues in the state revenue and expenditure budget (APBN) for the first semester of 2024 were recorded at IDR 883.8 trillion.

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) will increase the policy of supervision and compliance of taxpayers to boost tax revenues. In addition, the Ministry of Finance will also strengthen the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (UU HPP).

That way, the Ministry of Finance estimates that tax revenues in the second semester will be higher than the first semester, which is around Rp1,028.1 trillion, so that total revenues will reach Rp1,921.9 trillion or there will be revenue growth of 14.5 percent.
