In his remarks, Jokowi said that the inauguration of this factory was a new chapter in laying the milestone of Indonesia's commitment to becoming a global player in the EV cell battery ecosystem as well as electric vehicles.

According to him, this is thanks to the vision and courage of the Chairman of Hyundai MotorGroup, Chung Euisun, who dared to execute this big project during the COVID-19 pandemic.
