JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) wants small industries to obtain Domestic Component Level certification (TKDN) for each product made.

One of the steps taken by the Ministry of Industry is to provide facilities to small industries in the form of Certification of the Domestic Component Level for Small Industries (TKDN-IK) for free and easy access to the National Industrial Information System portal (SIINAs).

In addition, in order to provide maximum absorption for small industrial products with qualified TKDN, the government has also created a program to increase the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN).

The Director General of Small, Medium and Multifarious Industries (IKMA) of the Ministry of Industry, Reni Yanita, hopes that this P3DN policy can expand the market share of domestic products as well as have a significant multiplier effect to maintain national economic stability.

"So, in the end, the P3DN policy can reduce dependence on imported products and will further stimulate the spirit of nationalism among all people, encourage them to love and be proud to use domestically made products," said Reni in her official statement, quoted on Tuesday, June 25.

The TKDN-IK certificate is obtained free of charge, simple and fast. It only takes five working days in the process.

The Ministry of Industry made various efforts related to dissemination and consultation regarding the application for TKDN-IK Certification through the implementation of Socialization and Technical Guidance for TKDN-IK Certification in various regions in Indonesia, one of which was held on June 21, 2024 in Tangerang for the Banten Province.

"We also express our appreciation to the Banten Provincial Government for being active in the socialization and implementation of the P3DN and TKDN-IK Programs and hope that more IKM products in Indonesia and especially Banten Province will have TKDN-IK certificates. So, more and more small industrial products can be included in government procurement," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Directorate General of IKMA at the Ministry of Industry, Riefky Yuswandi, said that based on data on the TKDN-IK monitoring dashboard as of June 19, 2024, of the 34,113 applications for TKDN-IK certification that were received, 13,489 certificates had been issued with 16,496 products.

"Meanwhile, in Banten Province there have been 1,973 certificates with 2,296 products, which are provinces with the third highest number of certificates after West Java and DKI Jakarta Provinces and the fourth highest number of TKDN-IK products after West Java, DKI Jakarta and Central Java Provinces," he said.
