Burst Export-Import Logistics Flow, Airlangga Encourages Indonesia-Russia Direct Flights

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto held a meeting with one of the Russian state airlines, the CEO of Public Joint Stock Company (PJSC) Aeroflot Sergey Alexandrovsky in Moscow, Russia.

At the meeting, CEO Alexandrovsky reiterated Aeroflot's desire to revitalize the direct flight path between Moscow-Bali PP.

Responding to this, Airlangga stated that direct flights could help improve relations between the two countries.

Airlangga said that direct flights from cities in Indonesia and Russia will certainly make it easier for the efforts of the two countries to increase the number of tourist visits and can help the flow of import-export logistics.

"This can clearly help strengthen the economy, both Indonesia and Russia," Airlangga explained in his statement, Wednesday, June 12.

Previously, Airlangga had a meeting with the Minister of Trade of Sleptnev, Chairman of the Russian Parliament / State Duma, YM Vyacheslav Volodin at the State Duma Building. This meeting was also attended by members of the parliament of the two countries who discussed increasing cooperation between Indonesian and Russian parliaments.

Along with various steps to increase economic cooperation with several countries and efforts to encourage exports to maintain a national trade balance surplus, the Government of Indonesia conducted working visits and various bilateral meetings in Moscow, the Russian Federation.
