Edgepoint Infrastructure Announces Latest Achievements: Build 15,000 Towers In Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines

JAKARTA - EdgePoint Infrastructure (EdgePoint), an independent telecommunications infrastructure company based in ASEAN, has just celebrated its latest achievement after establishing 15,000 towers in Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines which are the company's main markets. This achievement was achieved after EdgePoint completed the construction of its 115.000th tower in Karangwareng District, Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia.

Suresh Sidhu, EdgePoint Infrastructure's Chief Executive Officer, said this achievement was not only a number, but also a testament to EdgePoint's commitment to building more connected and digital ASEAN.

In just three and a half years since the founding of the company, we have succeeded in building 15,000 towers in three countries in order to improve connectivity in this region. We are very enthusiastic about the future in ASEAN and look forward to working with all stakeholders to further advance the digital landscape in the region," continued Suresh Sidhu.EdgePoint Infrastructure was founded in 2020 in Malaysia, expanding to Indonesia in 2021, and to the Philippines in 2022. Since its establishment, EdgePoint has collaborated with all the leading Cellular Network Operators (MNO) in these three countries in order to expand connectivity through partnerships with non-MNO customers as well as implement future infrastructure that is ready to create fast and reliable connectivity.

Raymond Yan, Chief Executive Officer of PT Centratama Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk, stated that digital inclusion is not only the goal of EdgePoint. With this achievement, Centratama and EdgePoint have strengthened their dedication to realizing connectivity and reducing digital inequality throughout the Indonesian archipelago.

Last year, EdgePoint strengthened its position as a development partner in operational countries by expanding its geographical reach and increasing connectivity in underserved areas, such as Sabah in Malaysia, Visayas and Palawan in the Philippines, as well as Papua, Sulawesi, and Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia.

EdgePoint has also applied the principle of sustainability as the company's main focus. Recently, the company completed the construction of five solar power plants in the Philippines and actively realized net-zero across business lines.

In addition to this achievement, the company has received various awards for its innovative, customer-centric, and best service provision. Most recently, EdgePoint received an award as Tower Company Of The Year at the 2024 Twimbit Telecom Awards.
