JAKARTA - Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Erika Retnowati revealed that Pertashop which has obtained a permit to distribute Pertalite has a new name.
Until now, BPH Migas has given assignments to 29 Pertashops to become distributors and there are 10 who have met the requirements and 1 Pertashop will start distributing at the end of May 2024.
With the assignment, Erika said Pertashop would change its status and name to a compact gas station.
"So that's when Pertalite will be distributed, it's no longer in Pertashop, because if they distribute it they have to change their status to a compact gas station," Erika told the media crew after a Hearing Meeting with Commission VII DPR RI, Monday 27 May.
Furthermore, Erika said that her party had backed up 100,000 kiloliters (KL) of Pertalite to be distributed by Pertashop out of the total 2024 quota set at 31.7 million KL.

Regarding the requirements to be a distributor of Pertalite, Erika said that she only set several conditions such as digitization and having CCTV.
"There is 1 pertashop that distributes Pertalite at the end of May in Sulawesi. So this 29 happens to be all in Sulawesi. We have followed up on Pertalite's sales at Pertashop," explained Erika.
Meanwhile, in terms of investment, to become a distributor of Pertalite, Pertashop entrepreneurs have to spend an additional fee of IDR 75 million to IDR 100 million.
"The minimum requirement. We have actually minimized it for supervision. The important thing is that later the audit can still fulfill that," concluded Erika.
