Waskita Karya Calls The Progress Of The NTT Temef Dam Capai 98 Percent

PT Waskita Karya (Persero) reports that the progress of the construction of the Temef dam in South Middle East Regency (TTS), East Nusa Tenggara Province has now reached 98 percent of the work.

"The progress of the current work has reached 98 percent," said Project Manager of the Temef dam from PT Waskita Karya Yudho Agasi quoting Antara.

This was conveyed by him related to the development of the construction of the Temef dam, the only largest dam built in NTT from the target of seven dams that became the central government's program.

He said that the construction of the Temef dam began in 2018. Package I, which was carried out by Waskita Karya at that time, consisted of preparation work, embezzlement building work, hydromechanical work and pick-up building work.

The budget value for Package I reaches IDR 934 billion and the construction is completed faster than the target set in 2023.

Furthermore, PT. Waskita Karya continued to build the dam in package four with a budget value for Package IV itself reaching Rp468 billion.

A number of jobs carried out in Package four are the main dam piles, hydromechanical-related work, pick-up building work and facility building work.

"For the rest of the work, it's only finishing work and dam filling work," he added.

He added that currently there are no significant obstacles in the construction of the dam, but the current problem is the blocking of the dam construction by land owners.

"The only problem with this land is the obstacles in the work," he added.

Karena itu saat ini pembangunan dam tersebut kini sudah terhenti sejak tanggal 14 Mei beberapa hari lalu karena memang sudah diblock jalan masuk ke dam tersebut.

In fact, he said, if there were no problems, the progress of the construction would be completed in June 2024 this year.

The Temef Dam is the largest dam among seven dams built during President Joko Widodo's administration in NTT. The dam, with a length of 550 meters and a height of 55 meters, occupies an area of 45 hectares and is capable of storing water up to 45 million cubic meters.
