PPKM Mikro Is Extended Until March 22nd To South Sulawesi, South Sumatra And East Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The government, through the Chairperson of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN), Airlangga Hartarto, decided to extend the implementation period for micro-scale community activity restrictions (PPKM) from 9 to 22 March.

Airlangga said that the implementation of volume III micro PPKM will be re-applied in Java and Bali Island and there will be three additional areas.

"PPKM Mikro will be extended where the extension is applied in the region for PPKM Mikro such as East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, and North Sumatera," as he said in an online press conference, Monday, March 8.

The extension of the PPKM is contained in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 5 of 2021 concerning the Enactment of Limiting Micro-Based Community Activities and Optimizing Covid-19 Handling Posts and Sub-Districts to Control the Spread of COVID-19.
