Pindad Records Alutsista And Manufacturing Order Contracts Reaching IDR 25.8 Trillion In 2024

PT Pindad recorded a work contract for orders for the main defense system equipment (defense equipment) and manufacturing throughout 2024, reaching IDR 25.8 trillion.

"The contract grew 24.7 percent from the previous year, while the sales figure was able to increase to reach a value of Rp7.98 trillion," said PT Pindad President Director Abraham Mose in PT Pindad's 41st anniversary in Bandung, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 29.

Abraham said that this value is a value that experiences growth from year to year, which shows that the independence of the domestic defense industry is always increasing through the contribution of his party in providing defense equipment.

"On behalf of BOD, I really appreciate Pindad's commitment and its subsidiaries and affiliates to meet domestic needs, encourage exports, and absorb labor through innovations such as Tiger tanks, Maung tactical vehicles, Anoa panzer, Badak Ranpur, amphibious weapons and others," he said.

He said sales of Pindad products continued to increase, both domestic demand, namely the needs of the Ministry of Defense, or abroad such as ammunition and weapons.

"We have also held business talks with parts of Asia and then in the Middle East for weapons, then combat vehicles, and for ammunition so far we have exported to the United States," he said.

The industrial sector through the heavy equipment business has distributed more than 700 excavators in approximately six years, which is a distinct achievement as new players in the sector.

"The achievement of subsidiaries and affiliates is also shown through an increase in revenue by 13 percent, an increase in profit by 28 percent, a figure of Rp8.77 billion. PT PEI has also shown an advantage by synergizing with PT KAI," he said.

He said that in 2024 PT PIL has succeeded in obtaining a strategic contract from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries regarding the development of multimodal access to fishery product distribution in support of increasing exports and will run in the first year in Biak.

In May 2024, PT PIL has also succeeded in obtaining a contract from PT Asia Petracom for a transfer rate of eight points which will start running in June 2024.

Meanwhile, in Pindad Medical Utama's subsidiary, revenue increased by 22 percent or Rp. 201 billion, accompanied by an increase in net profit of 20 percent.

"This is in line with the innovations made, namely the addition of 50 inpatient rooms at Turen and Bandung hospitals. As well as the addition of hemodialysis buildings at Pindad and Turen hospitals, CT Scan 64 Slice at Turen Hospital," he said.
