Prevent Misappropriation, Batam City Government Issues Special Card For Purchase Of Pertalite

The Batam City Government issued a special card used to purchase Pertalite type subsidized fuel, Fuel Card 5.0 Pertalite.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut Susanto August Satria explained, the Fuel Card 5.0 program is an initiative program from the Batam City Government.

"Pertamina supports the program as an operator in distributing fuel," he said when contacted by VOI, Monday, April 29.

Susanto said the program for Pertamina had a positive impact because in preventing the act of misappropriation of the Pertalite Special Fuel Type (JBKP) which was subsidized by the government.

"These two programs also have a positive impact on efforts to distribute Pertalite fuel on target," he continued.

Susanto also explained that Pertalite's Fuel Card 5.0 Program could later be juxtaposed in synergy with Pertamina's Proper Subsidy Program which had been launched previously.

"Previously we had experience in the synergy of the Biosolar Proper Subsisi Program juxtaposed with the Fuel Card for the Purchase of Subsidized Biosolars in Batam City," continued Susanto.

Susanto also reiterated that this program is a regional government program for Batam City through the Department of Industry and Trade. With this card, buyers will only need to tap as well as electronic money cards.

"Later, the buyer will be at the gas station by tapping," he concluded.
