The Ministry Of Industry Will Immediately Complete The Preparation Of Regulations For Supporting Permendag On Imports

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry has completed the preparation of regulations supporting the Regulation of the Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) Number 36 of 2023 Juncto Permendag Number 3 of 2024 concerning Import Policy and Regulation. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry Febri Hendri Antoni Arif said that with the completion of the supporting rules, currently there is a Minister of Industry Regulation (Permenperin) for industrial commodities regulated according to the President's direction. "The completion of this regulation takes time ranging from draft formulation, harmonization process, to obtaining the summoning number, only after that can be declared valid and used as a legal basis for implementing policies," he said, quoted from Antara, Monday, April 22.

In addition, each regulation requires varying time, depending on the complexity of its products. According to him, Permenperin which regulates the procedures for issuing technical considerations (Pertek) for commodities such as finished clothing, footwear, iron or steel, traditional medicines, health supplements, cosmetics, and electronics, the demand process for imported products is already running through the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW) portal. As for tire commodities, currently still in the process of legislation in state news.

Febri, who is also the Special Staff of the Minister of Industry for Law and Supervision, explained that imported commodities that require Pertek are partly industrial end products.

As for raw materials, so far it has been very smooth through a fast publishing process with a maximum period of five working days. In addition, he said the Ministry of Industry continues to make maximum efforts to serve all parties who need Pertek by referring to national needs and production.

Oleh karena itu, pihaknya berharap adanya kolaborasi yang baik antar lembaga, industri, pengusaha, importir, dan asosiasi supaya dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dalam negeri.Menurut Febri, dengan adanya regulasi itu, tidak ada alasan mengubah kembali peraturan untuk produk-produk yang sudah siap.
