The government, said Arifin, is also accelerating the diesel to gas conversion program, considering the large use of diesel fuel, which is around 3 million Kilo liters (KL). In addition, the conversion of two-wheeled vehicles based on gasoline into electricity has also been carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, but it is still not running optimally.

"We have a program to convert electric motors from compensation to batteries, only we need support to be able to get aid subsidy allocations to be able to encourage conversion from the community," he explained.

In addition, regulation is also an important factor to strengthen national energy security, Arifin said that the Draft Law on New Energy Renewable Energy (RUU EBET) has not yet been inaugurated because there are still things that need to be explored further. One of them is power steering, he said that it must be completed immediately, because according to Arifin, the energy mix target will be achieved more quickly, and can increase national energy security, because its electrical energy sources are domestic.
