Kediri Dhoho Airport Serves 1,155 Passengers Flights During Eid 2024

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (AP1) as the operator of Dhoho Kediri Airport, East Java, revealed that the interest of passengers who boarded the plane during Eid al-Fitr from early flights to D+6 Lebaran 2024 was quite good.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Kediri Dhoho Airport I Nyoman Noer Rohim revealed from the existing records, the number of passenger movements was 1,155 passengers and eight aircraft movements in DHX.

"Alhamdulillah, flight services at DHX run safely and smoothly with the number of passengers as of Tuesday, April 16, 2024, recorded 1,155 passengers. Details of passengers departing totaling 513 people and 642 passengers arriving," he said in Kediri, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 18.

His party revealed that during the Eid 2024 transportation period, AP1 was committed to providing facilities and airport personnel who were ready to serve optimally so that service users received a sense of comfort, security, and memorable use of air transportation services at Dhoho Airport (DHX).

In addition, he also expressed his appreciation to all relevant policy makers so that Kediri's Dhoho Airport can provide the best service for the people of Kediri in particular and the people of East Java in general.

Dhoho Kediri Airport has officially operated since Friday, April 5 with its inaugural flight, namely Citilink airline from Jakarta-Kediri or vice versa.

Especially on April 5, 2024, it is an inaugural flight, then Citilink on the Jakarta-Kediri route will operate regularly twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday.

The airport, which is located in Kediri Regency, is based on the Ministry of Transportation's website, code International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) WARD and flight code International Air Traffic Association (IATA) DHX.

Kediri Regent Hanindhito Himawan Pramana revealed that the operation of the airport also has a strategic meaning for the economy and tourism development in the Kediri Raya area and its surroundings, such as Nganjuk, Tulungagung, Blitar, to Jombang and other areas.

"Of course we hope that the operation of Dhoho Airport can spur local economic development, marketing of superior products in the Kediri Raya area, especially Kediri Regency," said the Regent.

Dhoho Kediri Airport is operated by AP1 since March 29, 2023 based on Operational Cooperation (KSO) between AP1 and PT Surya Dhoho Investama (PT SDHI).

Dhoho Kediri Airport is a modern airport equipped with supporting infrastructure such as a runway with dimensions of 3,300 meters x 45 meters capable of serving large-body Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The passenger terminal covers an area of 28,000 square meters with a capacity of 1.5 million passengers per year, a commercial apron with a capacity of 12 narrow bodies and three wide bodies, and a VIP apron with a capacity of four small aircraft/1 narrow bodies.
