Waskita Gives 35 Percent Tariff Discount On Krian-Legundi-Bunder Toll Road, Here's The Reason

PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) is ready to provide a 35 percent toll rate discount specifically for trucks on the Krian-Legundi-Bunder toll road during the 2024 Eid homecoming flow.

Thus, PT WTR is also the only Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) that is different from other BUJT. This is because all BUJT only provides a 20 percent toll rate discount for private vehicles.

The decision to give a discount on toll rates of up to 35 percent was actually taken with one consideration.

"Because on national roads there are often recitations and others, yes. So, (35 percent discount) helps the community as well so that if there is a celebration event, it will be smooth," said WTR President Director Danielmen Liman on the agenda of 'Media Gathering Readiness Infrastructure Supports Eid Al-Fitr 2024 Homecoming' at the GranDhika Hotel, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, quoted Wednesday, April 3.

Daniel explained that this is included in the aspect of considering local wisdom. On the other hand, he said that his party also targets discount segmentation for trucks to maintain conduciveness on the road.

"So, let the truck that goes to the toll road. For other toll roads, right, his private car enters the toll road. Let the truck enter," he said.

Another consideration is that the 35 percent toll tariff discount is given in consideration of budgeting by truck drivers to enter the toll road.

On the other hand, Daniel revealed, his party did not provide a 20 percent discount for private vehicles.

"If you make a truck, your money may be limited, yes, so if (toll tariff discount) is 35 percent (time) you don't want to enter," he added.

Previously, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono said that there were several toll roads that would get tariff discounts during the Lebaran 2024 holiday period.

At least 14 segments will get discounts, one of which is the Krian-Legundi-Bunder Toll Road.

Discounts are said to be given 14-35 percent for non-Golongan I vehicles.

The details are, Groups II and III get a discount of 14 percent. Then, Group IV and V get a discount of 35 percent.
