SORONG - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) applies the anti-bribery management system (SMAP) as an effort to create and improve good and clean Upstream Oil and Gas governance from bribery practices.

Head of SKK Migas Representative for Papua and Maluku Region (Pamalur) Subagyo in Sorong, Tuesday, explained that the implementation of this SMAP is one of the concrete efforts of SKK Migas to continue to improve good, clean and transparent governance of the practice of bribery.

"So we want Hulu Migas governance to be completely clean and free from bribery practices so that the optimization of Upstream Oil and Gas is maintained," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 26.

As a form of commitment in the implementation of SMAP, SKK Migas Palamu applies ethical and lrincip 4 No's (No Bribery, No Kickback, No Gift, No Luxurious Hospitality) guidelines, and strictly prohibits any form of bribery practices.

"So we have to set a good example through the implementation of the SMAP so that Hulu Migas' governance is really optimal," he said. To improve good upstream oil and gas governance which is clean from bribery practices, SKK Migas Palalu collaborated with the Corruption Prevention Coordination and Supervision team from the KPK.

He said, since 2018 SKK Migas has been verified by SMAP through ISO 37,001, so this is a benchmark for his party to continue working according to the predetermined rules.

Because SKK Migas has a goal that must be achieved, namely 1 million barrels of oil and 12,000 MMSCFD Gas.

This is an extraordinary challenge. With SMAP, of course, the commitment to realize that goal will actually be carried out well.

"Because this potential and target will certainly be difficult to realize if bribery and other actions still occur," he said.
