Egg Prices At Kramat Jati Market Increase To IDR 32,000 Per Kg

The price of chicken eggs at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta was observed to increase at the beginning of this month of Ramadan. The price per one kilogram (kg) is priced at IDR 32,000.

An egg trader named Purwadi revealed that the price of shallot eggs before entering the month of Ramadan is priced around Rp. 28,000 to Rp. 29,000 per kg.

However, he continued, when entering the month of Ramadan the price rose. As of today, the price of eggs at Kramat Jati Market is IDR 32,000 per kg.

"The day of Rp. 32,000 per kg, before fasting ranged from Rp. 28,000 to Rp. 29,000," he said when met at Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta, Friday, March 15.

According to Purwadi, the price of winning eggs will increase before the beginning of Ramadan, and will move down in the middle of Ramadan.

"Later the middle of fasting goes down. That's how it was from the beginning. Going up again is usually when you want Eid," he explained.

Referring to the price panel of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) as of March 15, the national average price of broiler eggs reached Rp31,950 per kg, an increase of 0.22 percent.

The highest price of chicken eggs is in West Papua Province, which is IDR 44,790 per kg. Meanwhile, the lowest price is in Aceh Province at IDR 27,650 per kg.
