JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) in collaboration with national banks and other partners provides rupiah currency exchange services from March 15 to April 7, 2024 to meet the needs of the community in welcoming Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 2024.

The money exchange service provided by national banks throughout Indonesia will last until April 7, 2024, while the services prepared by BI will last until April 5, 2024.

Doni said the amount of money worth distribution (ULE) provided by BI in the Rupiah Rupiah Ramadan and Berkah Idulfitri (Serambi) 2024 Program increased 4.65 percent compared to the realization in 2023 which was recorded at IDR 188.8 trillion.

Through the 2024 Serambi Program, BI continues to ensure the availability of sufficient rupiah currency with a decent quality in all regions of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), especially in welcoming Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri or 2024 AD.

Anticipate the increase in the number of ULEs prepared to consider increasing community mobility during the Ramadan and Eid period and increasing economic growth.
