Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati discussed the cooperation initiative of the Minister of Finance and Minister of Health of the G20 Countries (Joint Finance and Health Task Force / JFHTF) with the European Commissioner for Economic European Union Paolo Gentiloni.

The discussion was held on the sidelines of a series of meetings between the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of the G20 Governments/FMCBG in Srypto Paulo, Brazil.

"We discussed the JFHTF, the joint initiative of the Ministers of Finance and the Minister of Health of the G20 which was formed to mitigate the threat of a pandemic in the future," Sri Mulyani said in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Friday, March 1.

The former Managing Director of the World Bank hopes that Paolo as a representative from the European Union can provide support for this year's JFHTF initiative led by Indonesia and Italy.

In addition to discussing the JFHTF issue, Sri Mulyani and Paolo also discussed bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the European Union, especially in the field of international trade.

"Hopefully the cooperation that has been well built so far can be maintained and provide more benefits," said Sri Mulyani.

It is known that Sri Mulyani attended the FMCBG Meeting which is part of the 2024 G20 Presidency in Brazil.

On the sidelines of these activities, the Minister of Finance also held meetings with a number of other parties, such as Treasury of Australia Jim Chalmers, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) President Jin Liqun.

In his meeting with the Treasury of Australia, Sri Mulyani conveyed the positive performance of the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) and how Indonesia can continue the development agenda without sacrificing the health and credibility of the State Budget.

Then in a meeting with the President of the World Bank, the Minister of Finance discussed several topics related to cooperation between Indonesia and the World Bank.

Meanwhile, the meeting with AIIB discussed development in Asian territory, including Indonesia.
