The Ministry Of Finance Calls The Increase In ASN Salaries Is The Result Of The Government-Scale Evaluation

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) conveyed that the amount of new salaries for Civil Servants (PNS), Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK), TNI and Polri will be paid in March 2024. Meanwhile, specifically for retirees, they will be paid starting February 2024.

In general, starting from January 2024, the amount of income changes in the form of salary increases for Central, Regional, TNI and Polri ASNs is 8 percent and the increase for retirees is 12 percent.

The Directorate General of Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, Astera Primanto Bhakti, said that the adjustment of the basic salary and pension is an adjustment that is carried out after a periodic evaluation by the government.

"For the payment of salaries for civil servants, TNI soldiers, members of the National Police, and PPPK, the work unit can apply for payment of salaries in March 2024 with new basic salary and lack of salary in January and February 2024 which are submitted to the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) starting on February 1, 2024," said Astera in a written statement, Thursday, February 1.

In addition, in the context of paying basic pensions for retirees, recipients of honorary allowances, and pioneering allowances for the national movement/independence, the Ministry of Finance (cq. Directorate General of Treasury) has issued letters to PT Taspen (Persero) and PT Asabri (Persero) to carry out payments with new principal pensions and will be carried out starting on February 1, 2024.

As for retirees, recipients of honorary allowances, and pioneering allowances for the national movement/independence, they will gradually accept payments for the lack of pension payments in January and February 2024 starting February 1, 2024, which will be paid through PT Taspen (Persero) and PT Asabri (Persero).

"We hope that this adjustment of salary and basic pension will not only have a positive impact on improving the welfare and performance of ASN and pension recipients, but also provide a multiplier effect for the economy," he explained.

Astera explained that the Government has adjusted the salary and basic pensions of civil servants, PPPK, TNI, Polri, and Perintis Allowance for National Movement / Independence starting January 1, 2024.

"It is hoped that the adjustment of salary and basic pensions can improve the performance and welfare of ASN/TNI/Polri and pension recipients as well as to maintain the implementation of the transformation of bureaucratic reform to be effective, realizing an efficient, competent, professional, and with integrity central and regional bureaucracy," he said.
