The Ministry Of PUPR Will Auction The Ministry Of Defense's Project To BIN At IKN, When?

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and the People's Consultative Assembly (PUPR) will resume the auction for the construction of the State Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago in East Kalimantan. The auctions will begin in the near future, namely the Ministry of Defense Office (Kemhan) to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti confirmed that this year the next auction will be held for the building infrastructure project at IKN.

"Yes, there are those who want to (auction) the Ministry of Defense office, BIN, there is a church like that. It must be an auction again in 2024," Diana said when met in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24.

Even so, Diana has not been able to specify what projects will be auctioned, at auction time, as well as the amount of project value. He said, all projects that were ready for the basic design would be auctioned immediately.

"The shop is ready for the basic design, we are auctioning it, but we are still asking for this money," he said.

He added that currently the progress of IKN development for batch 1 has reached 70 percent. Meanwhile, batch 2 progress is only around 20 percent. Diana also ensured that a number of buildings and basic infrastructure would be completed before the 79th Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at IKN.

"Yes (before August). Because, right, later if there is no office, what about it?," he added.

For your information, the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) reports that the progress of the development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) of the State Capital City (IKN) as a whole has reached around 70 percent to date.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) plans to hold a ceremony at IKN in August 2024. Meanwhile, it is targeted that starting in July 2024, the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), including civil servants and PPPK will begin to occupy the new capital city area.

"Basically, all IKN development progress at KIPP 1A which is targeted to be ready for operation by August 2024 has reached 70 percent," said OIKN Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure Silvia Halim to reporters in The Westin, Jakarta, Monday, January 15.

Silvia said the progress consisted of basic infrastructure such as roads, drinking water drainage, government offices and ASN flats. "This is a total of 70 percent", she said.
