The Ministry Of PUPR Guarantees Buildings And Buildings At IKN Using Smart Technology: Not Trying It

JAKARTA - The development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago is still in progress today.

The government targets the development of basic infrastructure in IKN to be completed in August 2024.

Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR Diana Kusumastuti said that her party guarantees that buildings and buildings in IKN will carry the concept of smart buildings. This is in accordance with the vision of building the city of Nusantara as Smart Forest City.

"We take the example of smart buildings like IKN. But, this is not a trial, yes, IKN Nusantara is not a trial!," Diana said in the Socialization of the Ministerial Regulation of PUPR Number 10 of 2023 in Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24.

"IKN is not trying it! It's really fixed how the palace is, how the offices there are and how the other buildings have to be all smart," he continued.

Diana assessed, to strengthen the implementation of the principles of smart buildings in Indonesia, the Ministry of PUPR has issued Minister of PUPR Regulation Number 10 of 2023 concerning Smart Building Buildings as a Realization of Smart Cities.

This regulation follows up on Government Regulation (PP) Number 16 of 2021 concerning Implementation Regulations of Law Number 28 of 2002 concerning Buildings.

He added that the Ministerial Regulation 10 of 2023 has also been implemented at IKN in coordination with the IKN Building Safety Committee (KKBG).

Thus, buildings in IKN are guaranteed to adhere to the concept of smart buildings or smart buildings.

"Because the guidance is indeed from IKN. I am sure that it is not only in IKN that these buildings are required for smart buildings, many cities are now smart. There is Semarang City, Makassar, Bandung which has led to it, but not all of the buildings are green," said Diana.

"In fact, if you are smart, it means a building that is green and of course you will be required to be smarter," he added.

According to Diana, the implementation of the Ministerial Regulation is not only for construction, but operational through the use of technology to its maintenance it will also adhere to a smart system, which must be sustainable.

To be sure, there will be benchmark elements and parameters set.

"I hope that the candy from this smart building will not only be used in IKN, but nationally, it will be used later. If these cities should also be ready, they must also have tools. The implementation must start from now on because IKN will be an example that is replicated for other cities throughout Indonesia," he added.
