8.000 MMBTU Natural Gas Supply Per Month To Mayora Factory In Pasuruan, PGN: Customers Can Feel Profits

JAKARTA - Subholding Gas PT Pertamina (Persero), PT PGN Tbk supplies natural gas with an average volume of 8,000 MMBTU/month to a biscuits factory of PT Mayora Indah Tbk in Purwosari, Pasuruan, East Java.

The signing of the gas purchase agreement (PJBG) was carried out by the PGN Pasuruan Area Head Heri Frastiono and Senior Factory Manager Mayora Indah Emroni Kurniawan in Pasuruan, East Java, last week.

"PGN hopes that customers can benefit from the energy of both natural gas in increasing industrial productivity and competitive products," said Heri in his statement, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, January 17.

In addition, the use of natural gas will have a chain impact that produces and stimulates the economic activities of the surrounding community.

This, he continued, is also in line with PGN's vision and mission in supporting the government as an environmentally friendly clean energy solution and achieving the net zero emission target by 2060 through increasing the use of natural gas during the energy transition period.

Heri hopes that the new factory in Purwosari can increase employment and increase regional economic growth.

PGN also ensures that the expansion of natural gas infrastructure development is reliable and safe to supply gas needs in Mayora.

The Purwosari factory uses natural gas as the main fuel, with all the production equipment designed using gas, which is clean and environmentally friendly.

PGN Sales and Operation Region III Pasuruan Area serves the natural gas needs of industrial, commercial, and household customers. Most of the industrial customers are engaged in the food, chemical, ceramic, basic metal, CNG, and textile sectors.

PGN is committed to maintaining gas supply resilience and flowing it continuously for 24 hours per day and 7 days a week at competitive prices.
