Commemorating World Anti-Corruption Day, OJK Strengthens Integrity In Increasing Anti-Corruption Culture

JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to uphold integrity and implement an anti-corruption culture in carrying out its duties and functions as an authority in the financial services sector.

The enforcement of anti-corruption integrity and culture is also a role model for the financial services industry in implementing good governance through support for all efforts to prevent corruption.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the OJK Audit Board Sophia Wattimena while attending the Opening of the 2023 Integrity Expo, which was organized by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on 12-13 December 2023 in Jakarta, Tuesday.

"We are really very serious in efforts to prevent corruption and we are also implementing SMAP, namely the ISO-based anti-pensive management system and it is hoped that all Financial Services Industries can also participate so that the Financial Services Industry can grow in health and integrity," Sophia said.

The Integrity Expo was held to commemorate the peak of the World Anti-Corruption Day event or HAKORDIA with the aim of reflecting support for the role and efforts to eradicate corruption carried out by Ministries/Institutions.

This activity was enlivened by as many as 69 exhibitions with zone division for expos, namely the KPK zone; Ministry zone; Regional Government zone; BUMN zone; Association/Profession zone; CSO/NGO/Community and Educational Institutions zone.

Each booth presents the introduction of various programs and efforts to prevent corruption or anti-corruption programs in their respective agencies.

To attract visitors' interest and enthusiasm, OJK packs activities at booths with games, publications in the form of award boards and information about the OJK integrity strengthening program.

Visitors who come are asked to fill out an electronic form to submit suggestions and input regarding the implementation of OJK duties and functions.

This activity is also a forum to compete in the program to strengthen OJK integrity, such as the implementation of gratification control programs, the OJK whistle blowing system (WBS OJK) which is a means to convey, manage and follow up reports regarding alleged violations committed by internal OJK parties, and the OJK Anti-Bribery Management System.

As a form of OJK's commitment to strengthening integrity, it is proven by actively participating in various anti-corruption activities; certification of the Integrity Development Expert program (API), obtaining awards in the field of the best gratification control system in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2022, awards for the best LHKPN management in 2017, 2018, and 2020, as well as 2022 UPG Personnel from the KPK.
