Supporting the Sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia, Bank Mandiri Finances the Construction of Two Navy Ships Worth IDR 66 Billion

JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri consistently supports the defense of the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). One of the efforts made by the bank codenamed BMRI shares was to distribute working capital credit for the construction of two Navy Ships (KAL) with a financing limit of IDR 66 billion.

SEVP Commercial Banking Bank Mandiri Totok Priyambodo stated that the financing had been disbursed to PT Citra Shipyard for the construction of the Sembulungan Naval Ship (KAL) and the Hinako Naval Ship (KAL) belonging to the Indonesian Navy.

"Bank Mandiri continues to strive to provide financing support and also serve various financial transactions including the maritime industry. Both for the shipping and shipbuilding industries to support the national economy," said Totok in an official statement, Monday 4 December.

Totok continued, thanks to the disbursement of working capital credit provided by Bank Mandiri, the construction of the ship has been completed. At the same time, Bank Mandiri together with the Indonesian Navy Headquarters (MABESAL RI) and PT Citra Shipyard launched the two ships in Batam, Riau Islands.

The event was attended by TNI Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali, SE., M.M., M.TR.OPSLA as KASAL TNI AL and Jovan as Main Director of PT Citra Shipyard and Totok Priyambodo as SEVP Commercial Banking of Bank Mandiri.

Bank Mandiri hopes that the presence of these two 28 meter ships can strengthen Indonesia's main defense system (Alutsista). Thus, safeguarding sovereignty in the waters of the country can be maintained even more optimally.

"Bank Mandiri as a development agent will continue to consistently be one of the supporters of strengthening the country's defense equipment outside the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) through comprehensive banking services," concluded Totok.
