The Government Has Disbursed The 2023 Capai Election Budget Of IDR 18.3 Trillion, Ready For Two Rounds

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance reports that it has issued a budget for the distribution of the 2024 General Election budget and the government has prepared a budget of IDR 30.1 trillion for 2023.

The Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance Isa Rachmatawata said that he had issued a budget for 16 ministries and Institutions (K/L), including the General Election Commission (KPU) and also the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).

"For this election, the budget is Rp. 30.1 trillion. It is distributed in 16 Ministries of Institutions, starting from KPU, Bawaslu, and also other Ministries/L such as the Ministry of Home Affairs and others," said Isa during a press conference on our State Budget, Friday, November 24.

Isa conveyed that the budget that had been disbursed for the election budget was Rp. 18.8 trillion. Where for KPU and Bawaslu it reached Rp. 16.3 trillion and 14 ministries and institutions of Rp. 2.6 trillion.

"The largest is in the two main institutions, namely KPU and Bawaslu, which are already Rp. 16.3 trillion," he explained.

Isa said the Ministry of Finance had prepared an election budget for 2024 of IDR 38.2 trillion. So that the total election budget prepared reached IDR 71.3 trillion. However, the amount of the budget is only for one round in the implementation of the 2024 General Election.

However, Isa said he had ensured that the budget for the 2024 General Election was also reserved in the event of a second round.

"We basically have provided enough, just relax. Including if there is a second round," concluded Isa.
