Adhi Karya Gets 2 New Contracts For The PLTMG Project Of IDR 701.1 Billion

PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) has signed two new contracts for the construction of a Gas Engine Power Plant (PLTMG) in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and Tobelo, North Maluku. The two contracts obtained by ADHI have a total value of around Rp. 701.1 billion.

Adhi Karya Corporate Secretary Farid Budiyanto said that the cooperation of this project is also in line with the direction from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to reduce coal-fueled power plants, so one of the alternatives is to create gas-fueled power plants.

"As part of the energy transition effort, the use of gas is also used to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) production and ensure the principle of environmental sustainability for future generations," he explained in an information disclosure, Tuesday, November 14.

In this development, ADHI collaborated with one of the companies from South Korea, the Korea Electric Power Corporation Engineering & Construction Company, Inc. (KEPCO) by forming a consortium with an operating cooperation scheme (KSO) for the Tobelo PLTMG with a capacity of 30 megawatts (MW) with a portion of 52.8 percent for ADHI and 47.2 percent for KEPCO.

As for the Sumbawa PLTMG Project with a capacity of 30 MW, ADHI's portion reaches 50.1 percent while the portion of KEPCO is 49.9 percent. Meanwhile, the development plan will begin at the end of 2023.

The signing of this new contract was carried out by the President Director of ADHI Entus Asnawi Mukhson, CEO of KEPCO Sung Arm Kim, together with PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo. This activity was also witnessed by the President Director of PT Bagus Karya Henry Kurli, President Director of Jiangxi Jiusheng International Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. Li Guofan, and Senior Executive Vice President of KEPCO Il Bae Kim.
