BRI Notes BRImo Tembus' Increase In Users 29.8 Million Users

JAKARTA - Until the end of September 2023, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) recorded an increase in superapp users, BRImo, reaching 29.8 million users in the third quarter of 2023.

BRI Network and Service Director Andrijanto revealed that the volume of BRImo Super Apps transactions also grew by 66.87 percent yoy or reached Rp2,984 trillion.

"User grew aggressively, which is the public's response to what BRImo has given to existing services," he said, quoted on Thursday, October 26.

Andrijanto also compared BRImo's growth in the previous year.

In 2022, BRImo users will grow by almost 8 million users, while in 2020, the growth of this super app user will almost touch 21 million.

Meanwhile, in terms of contributing to commission-based income or fee-based income, Andrijanto detailed, from the total transactions worth IDR 2984 trillion in 9 months, it resulted in a fee of IDR 1.8 trillion or a growth of 57.6 percent yoy.

"Then if you look at it again, will the trend continue? We know that in the future digitalization will be thicker even if we look at the pattern of transactions in our personnel, the composition will become more real," he continued.

According to him, currently in BRI, the portion of transactions through digital is increasingly dominating compared to conventional transactions through branch offices.

He also detailed the most expensive transactions made through BRImo. In the first position is occupied by transfers between BRI banks and other banks.

"Incidentally, the trend of transactions in transfers in BRI is significant, so this indicates that relations between accounts in BRI have been formed," explained Andrijanto.

The second position is occupied by payment through BRIVA's virtual account and the third is e-commerce payments.

"The next payment is like a credit and PLN token," concluded Andrijanto.
