The Sentolo-Wates Line Is Back To Normal, But Three Train Trips Are Still Late

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has confirmed that the evacuation and repair process on the two routes between Sentolo-Wates Station Station has been completed since Wednesday night, at 23.25 WIB.

Now, train travel is starting to return to normal, starting Thursday morning.

EVP of Corporate Secretary KAI Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji said, although the train journey has gradually returned to normal, currently there are still three of the eight trains that are late after the evacuation and repair of the route in the plot between Sentolo-Wates.

In detail, KA 52 (parayangan logo) departs Gambir Station at 08.15, at 50 minutes slow; KA 88 (Fajar Utama Slo) departs Pasarsenen Station at 06.35, slow 50 minutes and KA 222 (Jaka Tingkir) estimate departing Pasarsenen Station at 13.40, slow 100 minutes.

"KAI apologizes to all customers who experienced delays due to the process of normalizing the rail line between Sentolo Station and Wates Station, after the fall of Argo Semeru train last Tuesday, October 17," Agus said in an official line, Thursday, October 19.

Agus also emphasized that KAI will continue to provide late compensation to affected customers at the first opportunity in accordance with existing regulations.

For compensation for passengers affected by this accident, KAI complys with the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation (Permenhub) Number PM 63 of 2019 concerning Minimum Service Standards for People's Transportation by Train.

In the event of delays in intercity train departures for more than 1 hour, passengers can cancel tickets and get refunds for all ticket fees. If you don't cancel the ticket, then:

a. Given light drinks for delays for more than 1 hour.

b. Given drinks and heavy snacks for delays for more than 3 hours.

"Regarding the cause of the decline in KA 17 Argo Semeru, KAI has coordinated with the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC) and the Ministry of Transportation to investigate this incident," Agus said.

Regarding the potential loss, Agus said, currently it is still in the calculation stage. KAI remains focused and committed to optimal safety and service to all customers.

"KAI is committed to conducting an evaluation of fostering and coordinating with the regional heads of operations and regional divisions to improve the safety of train travel in the future," concluded Agus.

Previously, it was reported that the route between Sentolo Station and Wates Station could not be passed due to the fall of the Argo Semeru 17 train, the Surabaya Gubeng-Gambir relation at KM 520 + 4 plots of roads between Sentolo Station and Wates Station on Tuesday, October 17.

As a result of the incident, several trains experienced delays in arrival, including:

1. KA 17 (Semeru), Surabaya Gubeng - Gambir relationship arrived 00.35 slowly 295 minutes

2. KA 55 (Gajayana), the Surabaya Gubeng - Gambir relationship arrived 05.00 at 110 minutes late

3. KA 9 (Argo Dwipangga), Solo - Gambir relationship arrives 05.07 at 97 minutes late

4. KA 57 (Brawijaya), the Malang Gambir relationship came 07.06 in 127 minutes late

5. KA 59 (Bima), the Surabaya Gubeng Gambir relation, is expected to arrive 09.44 in no time of 224 minutes

6. KA 139 (Monja Utama Yogyakarta), Yogyakarta relation Pasar Senen, came 01.43 slowly 40 minutes

7. KA 87 (President Senja Solo), Solo Pasar Senen relation, arrived 04.14 in 79 minutes.

8. KA 103 (Singasari), Yogyakarta relation Pasar Senen, arrived 07.07 at 58 minutes late
