JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded the world that it would be destroyed if conflicts and tensions in a number of areas were brought and used as attractive attractions elsewhere.

"I make sure that this world will be destroyed if conflicts and tensions somewhere are brought and used as attractive attractions elsewhere," he said at a press conference at the Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, September 7.

"If we are unable to manage the differences we will be destroyed, if we follow the flow of our rivalry it will be destroyed," he continued.

Jokowi said that Indonesia and other countries have a responsibility to reduce heat tension by creating space for dialogue.

"At the same time we have the responsibility to reduce the heat of tension, to lighten the frozen atmosphere," he said.

In the ASEAN 43rd Summit forum, Jokowi also reminded all leaders of ASEAN member countries and partner countries not to create new conflicts and tensions.

"In the forum, I say that every leader who is present has a equally big responsibility not to create a new conflict, not to create new tensions," he said.
