The Directorate General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR has proposed a budget of IDR 15 trillion for the handling of regional roads to the State General Treasurer (BUN).
Director General of Highways of the Ministry of PUPR Hedy Rahadian said the budget was a follow-up to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning accelerating regional connectivity.
Hedy said that committed activities amounted to Rp1.54 trillion to fulfill the Multi Years Contract (MYC) package which had been running in 2023, while the rest was to meet the needs of the 2024 IJD proposal of Rp13.5 trillion.
"The 2024 Regional Road Instruction (IJD) of IDR 1.5 trillion has been allocated in regular, so what we hope from BUN is IDR 13.5 trillion," Hedy said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission V DPR RI in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 6.
Hedy said preparations for the issuance of the priority project list (DPP) could now begin. So, it is hoped that the procurement process can be carried out directly in early 2024.
"We will propose this immediately in the current fiscal year through BA BUN. However, we want the implementation of the IJD next year not to be too tight like this year, so that now we have prepared a list of priority projects," he said.
