Throughout 2022, Pupuk Indonesia Successfully Productiond 18.84 Million Tons

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) recorded a total production of 18.84 million tons (unaudited) with details of 11.76 million tons of fertilizer products and 7.07 million tons of non-pupuk products during 2022.

"This achievement is thanks to the hard work of the Pupuk Indonesia group members who always keep the factory operating optimally," said Pupuk Indonesia President Director Bakir Pasaman as quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 5.

Bakir explained that the company's total fertilizer production consisted of urea as much as 7.46 million tons, NPK 3.39 million tons, SP-36 172,878 tons, ZA as many as 718,270 tons, and ZK as much as 13,192 tons, which came from the production of PT Petrokimia Gresik, PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek, PT Pupuk Kaltim, PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.

Meanwhile, non-pupuk products consist of ammonia of 5.95 million tons, sulfate acid of 889,042 tons, phosphic acid of 222,388 tons, and AlF3 of 9,323 tons.

According to Bakir, the production achievement indicates that the company is able to ensure factory reliability, supply guarantees of raw materials, and reliability of distribution, both in terms of raw materials and products amidst global economic uncertainty.

In 2023, the company estimates that production will reach 19.44 million tons, consisting of fertilizer production of 12.30 million tons and non-pupuk production of 7.14 million tons. This figure is projected to be able to meet the needs of subsidized fertilizers this year.

Based on the Decree of the Minister of Agriculture Number 734 of 2022, the total allocation of subsidized fertilizers this year is 9.01 million tons, consisting of 5.57 million tons urea, 3.23 million tons of NPK, and 211,003 tons of special NPK formulas, with the highest retail prices of IDR 2,250, IDR 2,300, and IDR 3,300 per kilogram, respectively.

In 2022 Pupuk Indonesia has distributed 7.40 million tons (unaudited) of subsidized fertilizer or the equivalent of 95 percent, consisting of 3.88 million tons urea, 2.89 million tons of NPK, 163,467 tons of SP-36, 220,439 tons of ZA, and 233,889 tons of organic fertilizer.

The distribution of subsidized fertilizers, he continued, was supported by nine ships, 6,151 trucks, a distributor network of around 1,000 units, and around 28,000 complete Pupuk Kios (KPL).

Bakir further revealed that his party had signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPJB) for subsidized fertilizer in 2023 with 013 distributors who were committed to distributing it.

"We are targeting the distribution to be optimally close to 100 percent of the allocation issued by the government. Pupuk Indonesia asks for the commitment of all channeling partners for its cooperation," he said.

Pupuk Indonesia appeals to all distributors to implement a digitalization system that has been developed and implemented by Pupuk Indonesia, namely the Partner Application.

This system can support the implementation of optimal distribution of subsidized fertilizers and in accordance with the right six principles, namely the right quality, right number, right type, right price, right time and right place.

In terms of subsidized fertilizer stock nationally, it was recorded at 811,998 tons as of January 3, 2023.

This figure is equivalent to 264 percent or enough to meet the fertilizer needs for the next three weeks or in accordance with applicable regulations.

The details of subsidized fertilizer stocks available on line III consist of 495,647 tons of urea and 316,351 tons of NPK.
