JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) is said to have won the best position in the Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) organized by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the category of non-ministrative institutions.

Head of the BI Communication Department Erwin Haryono said that in this award, the central bank received the highest integrity index of 87.28 and was above the national average of 71.94.

According to him, the higher the SPI value obtained, the lower the risk of corruption in the agency.

"This award reflects optimal performance in realizing a clean system and governance," he said in a written statement on Thursday, December 15.

Erwin added that the award was given directly by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri, together with PAN/RB Minister Abdullah Azwar Anas, BPKP Chairman Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs John Wempi Wetipo.

"The Integrity Assessment survey conducted by the KPK is a means to map the achievements of corruption eradication practices that have been carried out by ministries, institutions, and local governments in an effort to strengthen the integrity system," he said.

Erwin revealed that the dimensions assessed in SPI are transparency, HR management, budget management, integrity in carrying out tasks, trading in influence, procurement of goods and services, and anti-corruption socialization.

"SPI is assessed by the results of respondents who come from internal employees, external parties (recipients of services, licensing, cooperation partners, procurement vendors, etc.), as well as experts / stakeholders (imbudsmans, employers' associations)," he said.

For information, in 2022, SPI will involve 508 district/city governments, 98 ministries/agencies, and 34 provinces throughout Indonesia with a total of 392,785 respondents with details.
