JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) facilitates a partnership between big businesses and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with a total value of Rp. 143.84 billion.

The facilitation was marked by the signing of seven cooperation contracts between big businesses and MSMEs at the Investment Partnership Forum, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 7.

The Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia in his virtual remarks said that business actors have an important role in Indonesia's economic growth in the midst of uncertain global conditions at this time.

He believes that business actors contribute to advancing the regional economy, but this is not meaningful enough if they do not collaborate with local MSMEs so that they can feel the positive impact of the entry of investment in the area.

They must share how to empower local people so that the local people become masters in their own country. Therefore, the Ministry of Investment is very committed to helping entrepreneurs including MSMEs," said Bahlil.

To facilitate partnership programs, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM also launched a partnership system feature in the risk-based Online Single Submission (OSS) system which can also be accessed directly through the partnership site.oss.go.id.

This feature is a form of facilitation of partnerships between domestic investment entrepreneurs (PMDN) and MSMEs in the regions, which were previously carried out manually with MSME data ready to partner recommended by the regions, employers' associations, and Ministries/Institutions.

The investment partnership between large businesses and MSMEs is mandated by Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation (UU CK) and its derivative regulations, namely Regulation of the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Number 1 of 2022 concerning Procedures for the Implementation of Partnerships in the Investment Sector between Large Enterprises and MSMEs.
