JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo revealed a recipe for increasing economic growth in Central Java to reach 5.66 percent in the second quarter of 2022.

The Central Java Statistics Agency (Central Java) released this growth figure even better than the national figure which recorded an increase of 5.44 percent.

Ganjar said this result was the result of cooperation between the ranks of regents and mayors in opening and facilitating investment.

"We also always work together, for example with BI, OJK, so that we always get the correct information," said Ganjar in a written statement, Tuesday, August 9.

With the accuracy of data from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Ganjar said that making decisions to increase economic growth has become easier.

"With data science that we can use, with macro conditions that we translate, we can make decisions," he said.

Ganjar hopes that economic growth in Central Java will continue to move up. However, Ganjar said that the challenges ahead will not be easy, so there needs to be cooperation between all parties.

"Because the pressure from outside is not light. The President said yesterday that we are ready for this year, remember that next year will not necessarily be good," he added.

For information, the economy of Central Java in the second quarter of 2022 reached Rp 261.40 trillion based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at Constant Prices (ADHK). When compared to the second quarter of 2021, ADHK recorded Rp247.40 trillion.

Meanwhile, based on Current Prices (ADHB) in the second quarter of 2021 it was recorded at IDR 350.54 trillion, the first quarter of 2022 IDR 375.68 trillion, and the second quarter of 2022 IDR 385.12 trillion.

Ganjar said that economic growth in Central Java could not be separated from the role of farmers. According to Ganjar, farmers have a big role in supporting progress in the agricultural sector.

"I am happy with high agriculture, hopefully our exchange rate is good. Thank God our exchange rate is good for farmers. Hopefully this is good news, we just need to accompany them to maintain this," he added.
