JAKARTA - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) and Pertamina are currently working on new regulations regarding restrictions on the purchase of Pertalite type of fuel oil (BBM).

This is done so that the subsidies provided by the government are right on target.

The regulation also regulates that luxury cars that buy Pertalite will be specified from the cubicle centimeter (CC) size of each car.

Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, revealed that related parties are also working on revisions to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 191 of 2014 concerning the supply, distribution and retail selling price of fuel oil (BBM).

To encourage the implementation of this policy, BPH Migas, said Erika, will cooperate with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Especially those who will conduct studies, the criteria, which will be determined from the amount of CC.

"The CC is still under discussion, right. It will be announced later. We hope that around August-September it can be launched, can be tested. This is still in the process of issuing regulations. Once established, we will do the socialization first. So it is hoped that this will be done in August and September," said Erika in a written statement, Monday, June 20.

Apart from luxury cars, said Erika, vehicles that will also be prohibited from using Pertalite are official vehicles belonging to the TNI, Polri, and BUMN.

His party will cooperate with the police to carry out surveillance

For the success of this regulation, BPH Migas will use the MyPertamina application.

"So we don't use data like the Ministry of Social Affairs, but we ask who is determined to be registered and register through a digital application. So the operator can know whether the consumer is registered and has the right to buy Pertalite," concluded Erika.
