JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation assesses the existence of the sea highway in particular as the key to the distribution of granulated sugar and bulk cooking oil from Belawan, North Sumatra, to Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.

The sea highway program from the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation specifically transports supplies from the National Food Agency together with the Ministry of SOEs through SOEs Food Holding ID FOOD and PTPN Group.

"Sea toll roads are the solution of choice for equitable distribution of food supplies in eastern Indonesia", said the Acting Director-General of Sea Transportation, Mugen Sartoto, in his statement, quoted from Antara on Saturday, April 30.
