Bahlil Optimistic Target Of IDR 900 Trillion To Be Reached By The End Of 2021: The Confidence Level Of Foreign Investors Is Increasing

JAKARTA - Investment Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia said he was optimistic that the investment target of IDR 900 trillion would be achieved. Because, he said, currently the realization has reached 73 percent and the rest will be achieved in the fourth quarter of this year.

"The data has been received by us. But we cannot provide the data. We will provide an illustration, God willing, we will reach the target (IDR 900 trillion)," he said during a discussion on Indonesian Political Indicators, Sunday, December 5.

Currently, said Bahlil, the level of trust from foreign investors in the services provided by the government has increased compared to before.

Moreover, Bahlil continued, the impact of the implementation of the Job Creation Act which also makes licensing is no longer complicated. This is because it is carried out one door, namely the Online Single Submission (OSS) system.

"So it really gave birth to a new perspective for the global and domestic world to invest in Indonesia," he explained.

Not only that, but Bahlil's optimism was also driven by infrastructure development in the regions which made the realization of investments outside Java quickly achieved. For example, said Bahlil, in North Maluku no one wanted to invest there, but now the distribution of investment has begun to be even.

"Now it has started to spread evenly and the investment is a downstream investment, as a form of economic transformation," he said.

Furthermore, Bahlil million explained that currently the portion of investment in Indonesia is not only dominated by the service or warehouse sector. However, there have been many embarrassing investments in the form of capital goods.

"So the investment now is more in the productive manufacturing sector. Building the industry, we encourage it to be reproduced," he explained.
