JAKARTA - PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) explained, PT Indonesia Entertainment Group will invest Rp248 billion in RANS Entertainment owned by artists Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina.

Corporate Secretary of Elang Mahkota Teknologi alias Emtek, Titi Maria Rusli said the collaboration between Emtek and RANS Entertainment was through PT Indonesia Entertainment Group which is a subsidiary of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA).

Meanwhile, SCMA is a subsidiary of Emtek, which oversees two national TV channels, namely Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) and Indosiar Visual Mandiri (Indosiar).

"To our knowledge, the investment plan that will be carried out by PT Indonesia Entertainment Group will be made through a deposit for the issuance of new shares in RANS Entertainment amounting to Rp248 billion," Titi explained in Emtek's explanation on the information disclosure page of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), quoted on Saturday, November 12.

An investment of Rp248 billion will be made in stages for a 17 percent stake in RANS Entertainment. Meanwhile, Titi explained that this transaction was not included in the company's material transactions because it did not meet the value limit as stipulated in article 3 of the Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 10 of 2020.

Through this investment, Titi explained that business-wise, the Emtek group belonging to conglomerate Eddy Kusnadi Sariaatmadja hopes to have a synergy effect where the company's group clients or advertisers can get one-stop service from the issuer group's ecosystem.

"In addition, the company group also expects market share growth that can contribute to the company's profitability growth on a consolidated basis," said Titi.

Previously, Raffi Ahmad as the owner of RANS Entertainment had responded to Helmy Yahya's question on the Helmy Yahya Talk YouTube channel, saying that the value of the collaboration between RANS and SCM exceeded Rp2 trillion.

"More than Rp2 trillion," said Raffi.

Raffi continued, apart from Emtek, there is also one big media that will invest in RANS Entertainment. However, he did not name the media.

Meanwhile, the CEO of RANS Entertainment, Nagita Slavina, emphasized that the collaboration between her side and Emtek was a collaboration, not an acquisition.

"SCM and Emtek have the same culture, we like collaboration. People are excited, thinking we are being acquired, being excluded. We are not exclusive to the Emtek Group, we are not being acquired by the Emtek Group," she said.
