Gatot Nurmantyo Detect PKI Indications In The Indonesian Armed Forces, Netizen: Previously The Commander In Chief Why Wasn't Killed, Sleeping?

JAKARTA - The name of the former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo suddenly became a trending topic on social media, Twitter. This follows Gatot's statement during a webinar entitled 'TNI Vs PKI' on Sunday, September 26 yesterday.

Gatot said there were a number of indications that the PKI had infiltrated the TNI. This can most clearly be seen at the Kostrad Museum where a diorama of Suharto's plan to overcome the lost PKI rebellion.

This diorama shows Suharto giving directions to Sarwo Edhie as Commander of the Prako Regiment assisted by the KKO.

Until this news was published, the hashtag #Gatot had received 11.6 thousand attention from residents of the application with the bluebird symbol. One of them came from the Executive Director of Charta Politika, Yunarto Wijaya.

Netizens were also busy tweeting the Gatot hashtag. "If there was, why was it that when you were the commander of the TNI, it wasn't crushed, sir? Did you sleep at that time?", wrote the account @Chusnu****

"This person alleges that there is a communist ideology within the TNI. Even though during his time as commander, no communists have been arrested. This is just stale food that is fried warm again. He deliberately ignites a fire in the TNI at this time", said the account @Miduk***

In a previous online discussion, Gatot recounted the beginning of the founding of the PKI until the existence of this PKI in Indonesia. The most tangible evidence of the PKI is indicated in the TNI through the disappearance of the diorama at the Army Strategic Reserve Command Headquarters.

"This shows that we have to admit that, in the face of the G30SPKI rebellion, the role of Army Strategic Reserve Command, the role of Suharto's figure, the role of Kopassus which used to be the Para Commando Regiment and Sarwo Edhie, and the role of General Nasution, the role of the KKO will clearly be abolished and the (three) statues are now gone, they are clean", said Gatot.
