After PKB-Nasdem Closed To KIM, Prabowo Has Not Planned To Meet Megawati

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that until now, the elected president Prabowo Subianto has no plans to meet with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri. Especially, after the PKB and the Nasdem Party have stated that they have joined the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to support the new government of Prabowo-Gibran.

"It seems that there is no plan (to meet Megawati)," said Dasco after the meeting between Prabowo and the Head of Nasdem Surya Paloh on Jalan Kartanegara IV, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 25.

Dasco also admitted that he did not know that other parties would join the Prabowo-Gibran government coalition after PKB and Nasdem. Including, he said, about the possibility of PKS joining the coalition.

"I don't know about the other developments yet, but yesterday we, like fellow journalists know, we have already held a meeting and have agreed to cooperate with PKB, and earlier with Nasdem," he said.

Previously, PDIP DPP Chairman Ahmad Basarah said the meeting of the elected president Prabowo Subianto with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri would formally take place after the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) on May 24-27, 2024.

The reason, said Basarah, is that the formal meeting will also definitely discuss the PDIP's positioning whether it is inside or outside the Prabowo-Gibran administration.

"Regarding meetings that are political in nature, of course in that context, Mrs. Mega will associate the positioning of the PDI-P as a political party, in that regard, then if the meeting in question is formal state politics, then we will still wait for a National Working Meeting that Mas Djarot has informed the details of the date, which is May 24-25-26 to come," said Basarah.
