TOBA Records 1,030 Motorcycle Units Electrum Products Have Paving On Roads

JAKARTA - PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) noted that until April 2024 there were 1,030 units of electric motorcycles, Electrum, which paved the highway.

Just so you know, Electrum is an electric motorcycle joint venture between the mining issuer PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) and GOTO.

"The update is that until April we already have 1,030 Electrum motorbikes on the road," said SVP Corporate Strategy & Investor Relations FFB Nafi Sentua at a press conference in Jakarta, Friday, April 26.

Nafi explained that this number is an accumulation of the H5 type motorcycle unit which was launched at the end of 2023. The H5 is the result of Electrum's design which is produced domestically with mixed materials originating from abroad.

In addition to focusing on electric vehicles, TOBA also supports the development of the domestic electric vehicle ecosystem by targeting the establishment of 147 electric vehicle battery exchange stations (SPBKLU), while currently there are 108 SPBKLU locations.

"From an observational target point of view, we are trying to increase from the figure that we previously hoped we could reach a wider market, the focus is in Jakarta first," he explained.

Met separately, Deputy President Director of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA) Pandu Patria Sjahrir said that this year his party has spent at least 5 to 7 million US dollars to develop EV business with GoTo.

"Continue (to cooperate with GoTo). There will be no changes. This year from our ssi 5-7 million from the FFB portion," he said.

In terms of EV's contribution to the company's financial performance, Pandu said it was still very small.

Pandu is also reluctant to provide leaks related to the amount of EV confidence in the company's financial performance.

"It is still small because in terms of adoption it will be small within the next 2-3 years. In terms of four-wheeler adoption, it is better than two-wheelers," concluded Pandu.
