National Police Chief: Alhamdulillah, COVID-19 Cases In Kudus Have Decreased From 400 To 183 Daily Cases

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said the number of COVID-19 spread in Kudus Regency had begun to be resolved. Evidently, the number of daily positive cases decreased significantly.

"Alhamdulillah, from the figure that there were daily cases from some time ago, it was around 400 in one day, today it can be reduced to 183 for daily cases", Sigit said to reporters, Monday, June 21.

The decline in the number of daily positive cases is thanks to several handling measures. For example, the tightening of the micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) scheme.

"To strengthen and thicken the micro PPKM by increasing the number of TNI-Police personnel, so that about the 60 villages, we have dispatched 600 TNI and Polri personnel to carry out strengthening activities for guarding in the Village area", said Sigit.

Then, the second effort is carried out by strengthening tracing and testing. In addition, the isolation places are available and ready to be used.

"Currently in Kudus, there are several centralized self-isolation places in the Kudus area and the areas are adequate and sufficient to carry out centralized self-isolation activities", he said.

"Currently, activity restrictions are also being carried out for the next 7 days," continued Sigit.

For information, the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Kudus Regency, Central Java noted that the number of people infected with COVID-19 continues to grow. The latest accumulated data is 10,063 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

"The number of COVID-19 cases is data as of June 10, 2021, after there were additional 224 new cases confirmed positive for COVID-19," said the Daily Executor of the Head of the Health Office of Kudus Masut Regency, Thursday, June 10.

The number of patients undergoing treatment at the hospital increased to 486 cases, while on the previous day 437 cases.

The number of COVID-19 patients declared cured also continues to grow because the total currently reaches 7,085 cases after there were additional 231 recovered patients.

Cases of death due to COVID-19 are still fluctuating with 24 additional cases today, bringing the cumulative number to 808 cases.
