KPK Will Investigate The Testimony Of Former SYL's Subordinates Regarding BPK Auditors Asking For IDR 12 Billion For WTP Ministry Of Agriculture

JAKARTA - Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the testimony of witnesses in the trial of the extortion and acceptance of gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo would be the attention of the prosecutor.

Including the testimony of witnesses who said that the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) asked for Rp12 billion for the title of Unqualified (WTP).

The statement was conveyed by Hermanto, who is the Secretary of the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) during a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday, May 8.

"I think there are many interesting facts in the trial of the defendant Syahrul Yasin Limpo and of course all the facts have been properly recorded by the prosecutor's team," Ali told reporters, Friday, May 10.

Ali said the prosecutor would prepare a trial report, one of which contained a request of Rp. 12 billion from the BPK.

"Once again, further development will be carried out when the trial processes are completed in full so that confirmation from other witnesses becomes a legal fact," he said.

This investigation can later be carried out when the KPK investigates the alleged money laundering (TPPU) which is still running.

"So it is very possible that the investigative team also summoned the names of people who then appeared in the trial process to investigate further regarding the flow of money," said Ali.

"So wait later when there is a TPPU investigation process or at trial, the investigation of course by investigators summons anyone who has been mentioned in the trial, the prosecutor will later confirm that the trial process will be carried out again," continued the spokesman with the prosecutor's background.

Previously reported, Hermanto, who is the Secretary of the Directorate General of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) revealed that there was a request from the BPK of Rp. 12 billion to get WTP. However, this amount is only paid around Rp. 5 billion.

"No, we don't fulfill it. I heard it wasn't fulfilled. I heard maybe it wasn't wrong about Rp. 5 billion or what. What I heard," said Hermanto, who was present as a witness at the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Wednesday, May 8.
