BOGOR - Behind the various processed pala products produced by the Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Bina Tani Mysari Pala, the spirit of the women in Muarasari Village, South Bogor District, is stored to turn local potential into economic opportunities.

For them, nutmeg is not just a harvest, but a commodity that has added value through creativity, innovation, and cooperation.

This spirit began to be realized in 2015 when the members formed KWT Bina Tani Mysari Pala as a place to learn and develop their business together. Starting from the sale of fresh nutmeg, they then processed it into various value-added products, such as sweets, syrup, and nutmeg candy.

As the business grows, the group continues to strive to improve product quality through various innovations. However, the limitations of production and marketing equipment are still a challenge that hinders the increase in business capacity.

Chairman of the KWT Bina Tani Mysari Pala, Nurhasanah, said that all the production processes previously were still carried out manually using simple equipment so that it took a long time. "At that time our group had limitations in terms of marketing. In addition, the processing of products is still carried out simply using traditional tools," he said.

Seeing the spirit of the women in developing local potential, BRI Peduli through the Aspire to Uplift, Revive, and Achieve (AURA) Program is present to provide assistance through the provision of production facilities and business capacity improvement training. This program includes human resource development, product innovation, to marketing strategies so that businesses can grow sustainably.

"After participating in the AURA BRI Program, our group received a lot of training, ranging from capacity building for human resources to product innovation, so that our products can be enjoyed by more consumers. Alhamdulillah, our marketing is already quite developed. However, we still need support so that product marketing can continue to be improved in the future," said Nurhasanah.

In addition to training, BRI Peduli also provides assistance in the form of nutmeg peeling tools, nutmeg slicing tools, and sealer machines that are able to accelerate the production process while improving packaging quality.

"Previously, the process of peeling nutmeg could take about five hours, now with the help of BRI tools it only takes about two hours. Likewise, the process of slicing nutmeg which usually takes six hours, is now completed in two hours. For packaging, it is also much faster because it has used a sealer tool. The packaging results are more neat, more sturdy, and our work is much lighter," he added.

This efficiency encourages increased production capacity, maintains product quality, and opens up wider marketing opportunities. KWT Bina Tani Mysari Pala's processed nutmeg products are now increasingly known and able to reach more consumers.

For members, the AURA Program not only provides equipment and training assistance, but also encourages them to continue to develop the potential of nutmeg as a flagship commodity that provides added value for families and opens up economic opportunities in the surrounding environment.

"We thank BRI Peduli for the trust and assistance provided to KWT Bina Tani Mysari Pala. We hope that this assistance can continue, especially in strengthening product marketing. Hopefully BRI will continue to move forward, continue to care, and become the main pillar in driving the Indonesian farmer economy," he said.

On a separate occasion, BRI's Corporate Secretary, Dhanny, said that the Aspire to Uplift, Revive, and Achieve (AURA) Program is a BRI Care initiative that focuses on empowering women's groups through business capacity building, skills improvement, and entrepreneurship development.

"The story of KWT Bina Tani Mysari Pala in Bogor shows that the AURA BRI Peduli Program is able to provide real benefits for women's business groups to continue to innovate, improve business capacity, and grow sustainably. We hope that this program can continue to encourage the birth of more resilient women who are able to drive the economy of families and communities," said Dhanny.

Since its launch in 2021, the AURA Program has empowered 30 women's business groups in various regions of Indonesia as part of BRI's Peduli commitment to strengthening women's empowerment and encouraging inclusive economic growth.
