Khofifah Emphasizes Employers to Pay THR to Employees Maximum H-7 Lebaran 2026

JAKARTA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa appealed to all entrepreneurs in his region to pay the Religious Holiday Allowance (THR) to workers or laborers no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

"This has entered Ramadan, soon Eid al-Fitr will come, I convey to entrepreneurs in East Java that before 7 days before Eid, the THR for workers must be paid," said East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa in Surabaya, Friday.

Khofifah emphasized that the Religious THR is the right of workers that must be fulfilled by employers in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

"The provision of THR is not only a normative obligation, but also part of the protection and improvement of the welfare of workers," he continued.

"This THR is a form of the employer's obligation to fulfill one aspect of welfare and protection for workers, which is also expected to boost the performance and productivity of workers/workers in their work," he said.

According to him, the momentum of Eid al-Fitr is synonymous with the increase in household needs so that the timely payment of THR is considered important to help workers meet their needs during Ramadan and welcome Eid.

"Lebaran or Idulfitri is a momentum to share happiness, which feels like spending will feel more than usual," he said.

Khofifah hopes that all entrepreneurs will comply with the provisions of the THR payment in a timely manner so that a harmonious and conducive industrial relationship is created in East Java.

He is optimistic that the timely payment of THR will also encourage economic circulation and increase people's purchasing power ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

"There is happiness that must be shared by employers with their employees, and I am optimistic that this THR will also have an impact on people's purchasing power ahead of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah," he said.
