The East Jakarta Metro Police Ensures That The Handling Of The Wedding Organizer Case Is Transferred To The Jakarta Metro Police

East Jakarta Metro Police confirmed that the handling of Ayu Puspita's wedding organizer (AO) fraud case has been transferred to the North Jakarta Metro Police since the arrest of the perpetrator in the Kayu Putih area, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

"(during the arrest) the Police Chief arrived at the location to secure and calm him from the masses. The report was sent to the Jakut Police. The case was transferred that night to the North Jakarta Police," said Head of Public Relations of the East Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Teta when confirmed, Monday, December 8, 2025.

Nevertheless, continued AKP Teta, together with the East Jakarta Metro Police and the North Jakarta Metro Police collaborated to take further legal steps so that the handling of cases could run professionally and transparently and in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

"Furthermore, the perpetrators were secured and transferred to the North Jakarta Metro Police in accordance with the case report. The East Jakarta Metro Police Chief and members were present at the location yesterday to mediate with the community. Previously, it was reported that a woman wearing the hijab with the initials AP was suspected of committing fraud using the wedding organizer (WO) mode against a number of victims in the Jakarta area. The incident went viral on social media on Sunday, December 7, evening.

It was later discovered that the WO company was located on Jalan H Siun, Ceger, Cipayung, East Jakarta. Meanwhile, the owner of WO with the initials AP was arrested by a number of victims.

According to the information gathered, the perpetrator is suspected of neglecting customers even though the payment of the wedding package has been paid off.

The promise of a luxury wedding service but the victims never got it. A number of victims actually suffered various losses.
