JAKARTA - An elderly woman named Rodiah (68) was trapped in the rubble of a building on Jalan Kopi, RT 08 RW 03 Roa Malaka, Tambora, West Jakarta, on Thursday, December 4.

Head of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-dept., Suheri explained, the building collapsed at around 11.20 WIB.

"The evacuation of sick people beside the building collapsed," said Suheri, Thursday, December 4.

Suheri also explained that initially residents around the incident heard the sound of a collision so loud.

"One of the residents initially heard a sound like an accident," said Suheri.

After being examined, it turned out that one of the buildings in that location collapsed. Residents then immediately reported to the relevant parties.

"Sda satu warga lansia di samping bangunan yang ambruk, Ibu Rodiah (68), dalam kondisi sakit tidak bisa berjalan dan minta dievakuasi. Kemudian Tim Rescue Tambora dan Tim Rescue Tamansari melaksanakan evakuasi," katanya.

When the officers arrived at the location, the elderly were not crushed by the rubble because the location of the ruins was also quite far from the location where the elderly were.

"The problem is, the terrain is rather difficult on the edge of the river and there are debris from the ruins of the building," he said.

Tambora Police Chief Kompol Kukuh Islami confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident.

"Regarding this, there were no casualties. Residents were evacuated, people who lived in illegal buildings on the edge of the river but the place was a bit far from where the ruins were," he said.
