Alvaro's Mother Will Be Returned From Malaysia For DNA Test

JAKARTA - To facilitate DNA disclosure, the police repatriated Alvaro Kiano Nugroho's mother (6), Arum, from Malaysia to conduct a DNA test that will be matched with a number of skeleton findings that allegedly belonged to the victim of a kidnapping and murder child.

"To ensure the framework that we got at the TKP (the crime scene) is true that AKN's son (Alvaro Kiano Nugroho) or not, we have to send him (Arum) home from abroad for a DNA test," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, November 28.

He said Alvaro's mother worked abroad when her son was reported missing since March 2025. Then, to complete the investigation stage, the police paid for the mother to go home and immediately do a DNA test.

"The Pesanggrahan police chief tried to buy tickets, paid to be sent home immediately," said Nicolas.

However, said Nicolas, until now his party did not want to rush into asking for information from the mother because she was still undergoing trauma healing.

She stressed that the police must look at the condition considering that the case was related to the child killed and her husband who died in the counseling room of the South Jakarta Metro Police.

"Two people who are close to him have lost, so the person concerned is not willing to take an official statement from the police," said Nicolas.

For eight months since missing March 6, 2025, the police investigated the case of Alvaro's disappearance by conducting searches, ranging from Batam, Bandung, Sukabumi, Cianjur to Cipinang Prison, where his biological father languished.

The case began to come to light after Alex's nephew told his classmate, N, who is the son of a household assistant (ART) with the initials I who worked at the house of a reporting witness named Muhammad Reza (46).

The information that reached the family of his mother's employer was then reported by Reza to the Pesanggrahan Police.

The collaboration between the Pesanggrahan Police, the South Jakarta Metro Police and the Metro Jaya Police as well as statements from witnesses and pre-reconstructions finally revealed Alex as the perpetrator in the case.
