AGO: There Has Been No Delegation Of The Petral Case To The KPK

The Attorney General's Office has denied that the Pertamina Energy Trading Limited (Petral) case was handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). It is certain that the case is still ongoing in the investigation stage.

"First, there is no delegation yet, no delegation at all. Second, there is no term exchange or exchange of rolls, nothing, nothing," said Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General's Office (AGO) Anang Supriatna, at the Prosecutor's Complex, South Jakarta, Friday, November 21, 2025.

Anang said, at the Prosecutor's Office, the handling of the Petral case was in the periodization from 2008 to 2015. Meanwhile, Anang continued, at the KPK the handling of the case was in 2009-2015. He emphasized that the handling of the Petral case at the AGO was based on two investigation warrants (Sprindik).

"Incidentally, the KPK handled the same case, but the period was in 2008 to 2015 and if I'm not mistaken, there are two, the other period is until 2017, if I'm not mistaken," he said.

Anang said that Petral's case was the development of a case of corruption in the management of crude oil. In fact, he said there was no possibility of Riza Chalid's involvement in this case.

"We'll see the periodization, right, later the position will be related. It looks like it (had something to do with Riza Chalid), it looks like. We'll see," he said.

Anang added that a number of witnesses in the case of corruption in crude oil management had been examined, although he did not specify how many.

The examination, continued Anang, had been carried out in their capacity as witnesses who knew about this project. He was also reluctant to speculate whether there was a possibility of determining the suspect for the second time in this case.

"I don't know for sure, there is only part of the case file that is running, some were asked for information as witnesses for now. For now, as all witnesses," he concluded.
