JAKARTA - A large tree fell on Jalan Sisingamangaraja, Kebayoran Baru, Senayan, South Jakarta, hitting the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) building and cars, on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

The Head of the Ditlantas Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Robby Hefadus, said the incident was in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) office, near the Senayan Roundabout, on the route from Blok M to Semanggi.

"That's the location on Jalan Sisingamangaraja in front of the Deplu office near the Senayan Roundabout, from the direction of Blok M to Semanggi," said Commissioner Robby, when contacted.

Robby revealed that the fallen tree did not cause any casualties. Tree material only hit the fence of the Deplu building and the MRT roof construction section at that location.

"So far there have been no casualties, only material damage. That tree hit the Deplu fence and the MRT construction. Construction from the roof of the MRT," he said.

Meanwhile, the car that was hit by the material was not badly damaged.

"The car is safe. It only gets rants, but it's safe, there are no casualties," he said.

He emphasized that currently officers were cleaning the location. Meanwhile, the road from Block M to Senayan is still closed.

"It's still in the process of cleaning up," he concluded.

This incident adds to the list of fallen trees in the Jakarta area, especially South Jakarta. After the incident of a fallen tree on Jalan Metro Pondok Indah killed one person, the authorities have cut down a number of trees in the area so that the same incident does not happen again.

However, something unexpected happened this time. Luckily there were no casualties.
